The internet repeats a lot of confident hair myths. These are the useful corrections Jade wishes more clients knew before reaching for another product or hot tool.
Blonde myth
Purple shampoo does not lighten hair.
It deposits violet pigment to soften yellow tones. It cannot lift your base, and overuse can make porous blonde look dull or smoky. Orange warmth usually needs a different plan.
Breakage
“Never brush wet hair” is only half true.
Straight and wavy hair is generally safer to detangle when drier; tightly curled or textured hair often breaks less when gently detangled damp, conditioned and supported from the ends upward.
Ends
A split end cannot be permanently glued back.
Serums can temporarily smooth and reduce friction, but the split remains. A trim removes it before it travels higher and costs more length.
Water
Your water can change how blonde looks.
Calcium and magnesium can deposit on the hair surface, contributing to roughness or dullness. A chelating treatment targets minerals; an ordinary “clarifying” label does not always mean the same thing.
Heat
Heat protectant is not a force field.
It can reduce damage, not make unlimited heat safe. Use tools on dry hair, choose the lowest effective setting and avoid repeatedly passing over the same section.
Growth
Trimming does not make roots grow faster.
Growth happens in the follicle, not at the ends. Strategic trims help you keep more of that growth by removing fragile splits before they become breakage.

Do I need to complete a hair form?
Only for relevant colour or chemical services. A short private preparation form appears beside that appointment after you sign in.
Can I book for someone else?
Yes. Add another person or another service to your booking cart. If you add their email, they can privately complete their own preparation.
